Optometric Assistant

Duties include learning two aspects of the clinic: between front desk, optical, and teching. Willing to work between multiple positions on a daily basis

Required Experience/Training & Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Commitment to employee and patient satisfaction
  3. Strong desire to grow and develop yourself and co-workers
  4. ABO/CPO certified, or willing to get certified
Essential Functions:
  1. Understanding of common medical and vision insurances
  2. Ability to close down the deposit
  3. Answer phones
  4. Greet patients
  5. Frame adjustments
  6. Ordering of glasses
  7. Dispensing glasses
  8. Ordering contact lenses
  9. Dispensing contacts
  10. Check in/our patients
  11. Willing to travel to other locations
  12. Check VA
  13. Patient medical history
  14. Prep EHR
